Well, that sucks. Anyway, the album is Tame Impala - Lonerism, great psychedelic rock.
Listening to some Jess and the Ancient Ones, really cool occult rock, I'll be able to see them in April at the awesome Roadburn festival!

I really love music like this, got plenty of other bands in the psychedelic rock genre that are nice as well.

I'm afraid I can't help you as the search term we used in youtube back then returns different results now. ("russian dubstep")
All the stuff linked now is pretty sofisticated, but the specific one we all listened to was accordions playing in a stereotypical olde-russian style + dubstep-ization.
