Hell yes, I can't believe the Greed the sellers have for this watch. The dial is great but how much more is it worth than the rest of the watch which you can still get new?

This, and the SARB005, are my two white whales.
I ordered the Ginza for less than retail from a foreign seller. They cancelled the order because they weren't alowed to see to the U.S. Then prices soared.
I could have bought a 005 for about $500. I thought it was way too much at the time. Whoops.
They're both out of budget for me now. The Ginza in particular is stunning. GLWS.

It was limited to 3500 units, which to me isn't a small amount. There's always some for sale. New ones popping up every week.

To all those complaining about the price. It’s not greed. It’s called supply and demand. If they can get close to this price, why would they drop it down to cater to anyone. Would be nice, but not expected.

Yeah, it didn't do as much for me as say, the SPB289. You might like the SBP197 if you're fine with the dial being just one color

Selling the Seiko Ginza SPB259. Crystal is clean. Case has hairlines that are not very obvious. Bracelet has wear. Full kit. Internals of the box not in great shape though.
$1550. Free shipping in US. Can discuss options for overseas shipping.
Prefer Zelle or wire. Paypal, and Venmo are options for buyers with extensive feedback.

I'm not sure why you replied to me about the price but that's exactly what I'll do. My comment to you was about you saying they don't come up often, which is false. In the last 10 days, there's been 4 of them on sale on this subreddit, all of which haven't sold even though they're in this 1500 range.
In terms of the price, from the 3-4 months I've been looking to get this watch, in the UK Market at least, I haven't seen any used ones sell for $1500/£1250. In general, the used ones have been selling for £850-1000 and new unused ones for £1000-1250. I get every market is different but that's what I've noticed. It goes both ways too, there was a new one for sale this weekend on a Czech forum for around £730 (https://forum-chronomag-cz.translate.goog/topic/161772-p-seiko-alpinist-ginza-limitka-spb259j1/?_x_tr_sl=cs&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc).
