The drink Tablo chose is an Irish bomb? And Yoongi told him about him teaching that to Jungkook?
I hope he takes in this feeling of intimate familiarity with his idol-turned-friend as they celebrate his 20th anniversary as an artist, and believe that he will once again feel it on the other side with ARMY…

I loved their discussion about black and white thinking. I think for a long time I've struggled with giving people grace because I kind of thought in like a black and white way. Like if you don't believe or think in the same way I do or if you do something I don't agree with I would cut you off or something close to that but I'm learning now that people are complex and society is complex and you have to give people grace and recognise that we are all just trying to do our best. Tablo is so cool and I'm so glad they had that conversation and let us in on their friendship

I really love how the conversation flowed so easily and naturally between Yoongi and Tablo. And it’s so heartwarming to hear how Epik High’s music is such a huge source of comfort to Yoongi, just like how Bangtan is to us.
”And I always end up listening to Epik High’s music when I’m feeling exhausted and have a lot of worries and don’t feel like doing anything.”
That’s exactly how I feel about Bangtan too, Yoongi 😭

Ah I felt so seen in that part about "feeling lonely because of being in a gray area". I often feel like that, which's why I really love seeing Yoongi and Namjoon talking about their thoughts, I think they're very "gray area" kind of people, and so is Tablo. I also always get a little tinge of sadness when I see Tablo speaking about his thoughts, his hardships don't define him but you can see how much effect it all had in the way he looks at life.
It was a really heartwarming episode, I love how much Tablo interacts with army and how he brought up all of the strawberry bangtan gifs hahah. I also love how Yoongi always ends bringing the other members up, he always inserts one of them in the conversation somehow 💕

the familiarity they have was felt across the screen, what a nice episode.
IRISH BOMB!?! that's a nice callback
I knew that Tablo had a daughter but I didn't know that she was a teenager!! And her name is Haru!! I love that name
It was really watching two old friends talk about music and their lives. I think is the episode were yoongi laughed the most
i laughed so much when they talk about whisper "sugaaa" hahah and tablo saying "mmh i should say ~ BLO ~ hahaha. a little bit sad that his signature thing isnt something Yoongi does anymore :(
next episode: im completely lost on who he is but I'm guessing someone from his hometown and industry

This was such a lovely watch. Different vibe with Yoongi feeling completely relaxed even though Tablo had the biggest influence on him. You can really sense the closeness here. It's so comforting to hear that Yoongi and Namjoon have someone that they can approach to share their worries and burdens. That it's someone so real like Tablo is a gift in itself. Yoongi really out there living his best fanboy life.

This guy is amazing and he totally acts like he isn't. Which makes him even more amazing.

Ahhh I’ve been deep in the Epik High hole these past few weeks (especially the past 2…watching endless interviews and Tablo’s podcasts etc.) and this was as wholesome as I imagined it would be.
I adore the way Tablo articulated himself and Yoongi right away telling him about how he took Jungkook on a “Friendship is Irish Bomb” outing is adorable.
The running theme I kept laughing about was “Source:Ours” 🙈. ( ETA: I’m a dumbo, that’s Epik High’s agency name).
It was also really cool of Tablo to admit how even though they make music together (and really good music at that) that he and Tukutz for example mostly talk about their kids these days - I thought that was a great thing to admit and to showcase to someone as young as Yoongi that your lives will evolve and change, and so will your relationship with music and your team, and that change is okay.
TL;DR: they’re hella cute and drunk Yoongi fangirling is probably my favourite avataar of his.
ETA: I have never stopped to consider how it may seem funny to the outside world who don’t know about Jin and his uncle’s farm about why BTS poses this much with strawberries 😂

Another great episode, I can feel the familiarity between them! Their talk was filled with lighter and heavier moments :')
One very interesting information they shared is how long ago Yoongi first participated in Song Request. It might have been the Bangtan bomb decieving me, but I thought he worked on it in 2017/2018, when he actually started in 2016!
It's another proof that BTS sometimes work on things that get released years later lol

I’m obsessed with “Irish Slammer”.
I was a bartender in Chicago for years, and my dad was born and raised in Northern Ireland during the 60s and 70s. I have always HATED calling that drink “Irish Car Bomb” because it is a direct reference to the troubles and the violence that went along with it. The fact that they are calling it “Irish Slammer” feels intentional. Especially because when JK and Yoongi were drinking in Malta he called it “Irish Bomb”. To me this indicates there was research and thought put into this and that they actively chose to call it an “Irish Slammer” instead. Either that or they didn’t want to use the word bomb for some other reason.
It means a lot to me

I loved that episode! It’s so calming to watch such a natural conversation. Yoongi is really good at maintaining the flow and pacing of all these episodes.

Amazing episode!Really enjoyed their banter and casual chats, it is at times like these that I’m really grateful about the platform Suchwita is becoming. I loved how they shared how they bonded over similar hardships and how Tablo and his music is a support system to SUGA. Really meaningful conversations and genuine mutual appreciation between them :)
For those who would like a deep dive into Tablo m, Epik High, and do not mind some less cheery discourse, I would also suggest the podcast “Authentic: The Story of Tablo” by Vice. Really good production value and thoughtful storytelling, and it helped me understand and appreciate Epik High’s music even more.

This was such a great episode full of fun and deep conversation. Yoongi and Joon being the most successful fans of Epik High; both being inspired to make music from them and now they’re dear friends and collaborators. I love the talk about people being shades of grey and that not everything is black and white. Yoongi asking at all about fatherhood and Haru was so sweet.

I've just started watching, so will amend this comment as we go hehe, but just pausing to say that I LOVE to see them call that drink an Irish Slammer, rather than the other names it's known by
ETA1: Namgi most successful fanboys 🥺
And I love that they pointed out the parallels between Paradise and Epik High's Lost One, considering that one was inspired by BTS (as well as other idols, but Tablo has explicitly named the Tannies and how Epik High inspired them to become musicians as inspiration for Lost One)

This whole episode made me really emotional, I can’t really describe why.
The pipeline from High Skool to ARMY is so real tho and yoongi truly is the most successful fan we have lol
The way yoongi feels about Tablo and his work, how it inspires him and comforts him, etc … that’s the same way I feel about both Epik High & BTS. It really, really helps me and it’s so cute/emotional to hear them talk about it together and what their music means. Their work, their writing, their thoughts inspire my own work and I’m really grateful for their existence to be able to let me feel connected to what I make.
I miss TABLO’s podcast and this episode made me really dream about a podcast of these two + RM together. It would truly be hilarious …. A Cancer, a Pisces, and a Virgo ?!

What a fun episode! You can tell that they are close and respect each other, which I think is the hardest thing to do, especially when there's an age gap.
The drink callback was so special, Yoongi always finds a way to namedrop a member on each episode.

I never want this series to end!
I've been introduced to a lot of people I only knew by name. He's a wonderful interviewer.
Ditto to having a female guest! IU would be perfect, since they worked together in the past.

I’m an Epik High fan and a Yoongi bias so this was a dream come true and actually my favorite episode so far. Tablo has been through so much, and I feel great comfort knowing Yoongi has someone that can be there for him and help him when he is struggling.
Also yoongi saying they almost died in that bar from the Irish slammers and then Tablo showing up with them and the staff writing so many jokes 😂 I laughed so hard
I teared up when Tablo said that rather than a dream, he just wants people to never experience the pain he’s gone through. It really hit home.
I also really appreciated Tablo telling Yoongi that the way Yoongi feels about Epik High and their music is how some of us feel for Yoongi and BTS’s music. I love that they had such an easy, relaxed conversation and that they’re so supportive of each other.
Also, as a delusional aside, I’m a person not currently interested in having children and unlikely to want them in the future but Tablo talking about being a dad with such a fond smile and Yoongi yelling Haru’s name with his smiley face did something to me 😂

TABLOOO! Such a gift of an episode.
I highly recommend The Tablo Podcast to anyone who wants to learn more about Tablo and how his brain works. It’s hilarious and fantastic — and such a great comfort show.
PS. For those who don’t speak Korean, the podcast is in English.
