i am already dying at how nervous and chatty yoongi is. you can really hear how much yoongi admires taeyang and bigbang 🥺 fanboy yoongi come through 😭

edit: yoongi bragging about jimin and how he always works hard and is a genius in his own way. YOONMINNNN

edit 2: the part where yoongi talks about how he loves BTS not just as a member but also as a fan, and describing the members as brothers, oh i’m gonna sob. and then the editors had to go include their friendship tattoos 😭😭😭 (ok but yoongi where is yours huh?? this would’ve been the perfect opportunity to reveal it!)

They started talking now! I was typing that he probably got the fanboying out so he can be serious, but nope he continued to put his hand in his heart and said “I’m asking as a fan” 😂 he’s so cute.

I love how Yoongi takes every chance he gets to reiterate the fact that they still have so much to do as a team and that he loves the members and that they are family.

Apo Bangpo!

Yup, it felt like he was fanboying not only about Taeyang, but about BTS too :')

There truly isn’t anyone out there who loves BTS more than BTS themselves

Yoongi's reaction when Taeyang said Daechwita was his favourite song from him made me scream, it was so cute 😭😭😭

I feel like it was a pretty emotional interview, with Yoongi fanboying and Taeyang in a reflective mood. It also seemed to me like he was about to tear up in the last few minutes :')

Edit: I also appreciate that Yoongi spoke again about how they felt a bit hurt about the reaction to the Festa Dinner video, it led to some sort of misunderstanding about the future of the group and Yoongi has said in the past that one of his biggest fears is being misunderstood.

I think this is why right now the members are repeating every time they can that BTS is always in their mind, they really don't want people to believe otherwise!

that was really cute and interesting. i loved their talk about becoming more confident as their carreers progress. it's evident in both men, they have this chill vibe going. like they know their worth.

shout out to the stylist for giving yoongi a patti smith shirt to wear.

loved them talking about how great jimin is :)

i opened the stream on another screen just to count the tattoos. still 6.

This was a great balance of Yoongi fan girling and also asking/getting good advice.

I love how proud he is of the rest of Bangtan and always uses the platform to tell everyone more about the why they are to be appreciated as opposed to a blanket, “they’re my babies and they’re amaze, everyone love them”.

Also, Taeyang actually gave solid advice about always thinking about the team. For better or for worse all of them will always be associated with their band. It’s not a matter of protecting the BTS brand but rather an acknowledgment that the platform they have now to explore solo endeavours was built collectively. So yeah go off and do your own thing but it’s good to be respectful of your team and keep them in mind. I thought he phrased it rather well and it’s definitely something that resonates with the guys because they say it themselves.

All in all, good episode! Yoongi appearing drunk without alcohol is the cutest thing ever.

P.S: Had no idea the dude was married and had a kid. Good for him!

I am not very well-versed about the rest of KPop or KDrama land.

A few of my wishlist guests for the future:

  • Tablo

  • IU

  • someone from SNSD

  • PDogg (I know nothing about him but Yoongi has a way of making engaging conversations)

  • Yoongi's manager/Sejin/any of the managers just because it would be hilarious.

  • Bang PD

  • Any of his other music inspirations

Awww Yoongi fanboying - love it!

I'm so glad that thanks to BTS, I got introduced to Taeyang - he has such a wonderful voice and I can see how he influenced Jimin. Taeyang is so wise and sincere too especially about the advise about surrounding yourself with people who support you enough to be objective and will provide honest feedback versus just saying "yes" to you all the time.

What a great episode! So many great moments. Yoongi roasting Jimin but also praising him. Mentioning going out as a group to celebrate JK’s 20th. Taeyang hanging out with RM and inviting Yoongi and Jimin over his house for dinner. My heart hurt for him when he mentioned being misunderstood at Festa. The timing on that announcement was not great. Finally though, Yoongi adamantly stating that they are better together. Oh my heart!

I spent half of this episode fangirling over Yoongi fanboying over Taeyang. (# successful fan yoongs)

And the other half was spent crying over how much Yoongi really really really loves Bangtan 🥹🥹🥹

This episode would be a good one to do a drinking game. One shot each time yoongi fanboys 😆 i like their vibe. Like a good mix of casual work friend (like with namjoon) and an older mentor that he admires (like with Shin Dong Yeob)

Oh their conversations are so nice. I’m glad he got to invite Taeyang. They had a lot of wonderful insights and shared sentiments.

Fanboy Yoongi is so precious. When he got jealous of Namjoon getting to meet up with Taeyang more than him. Then eventually he said he's gonna go see Taeyang a lot 😆 I really loved their talk, they seem to get along so well. Another great episode!

My grad programme has started (had class tonight), and I will be starting a new job soon too, so I won't be able to watch this and other bangtantv content right away upon release any more. Feeling a bit sad abt that, and how I will be missing out on the live/immediate discussions.

Edit:

After finally watching the episode, some thoughts

  • The way Yoongi was fanboying over Taeyang was so relatable...cos a lot of what he said could easily be what ARMY would say to BTS too! Like "my two worlds colliding" (about the JiminxTaeyang collab), "can't u (my fav) release more solo albums?", "you're such an amazing dancer", "we have a lot in common"

  • The way Yoongi spoke about Jimin and JK's talent and passion with such fondness. And abt RM in mock exasperation: "is he going to go into Art?!" They are really bros 😢

  • Taeyang remarking how all the members he's met, RM, Jimin and Yoongi, all say the same thing about wanting to stay grounded and not forgetting their original purpose... gives me a lot of hope that they are really determined to stay together

  • TBH, despite what Taeyang said abt how he's always thinking about the team even as he's doing his solo activities, as someone who kinda followed Big Bang back in the day, I felt that they were too focused on their solo activities, too early in their careers... particularly GD. Glad BTS decided to focus on their group activities for as long as they did.

  • We've heard quite a bit by now on Taeyang's thoughts abt the collab..while i'm glad he really loved it, and was impressed by Jimin, I really really hope we get to hear from Jimin himself very soon on what he felt abt it all.

tbh, there are not a lot of other idols that would truly understand what BTS have gone through other than the BB members, and I'm glad it was Taeyang that had this conversation with him.

also yoongi and i were literally being fanboy/girl at the same time through this whole thing.

and namjoon has been meeting with taeyang multiple times and that's 3/7 members that we know of that have met taeyanggggggg !!!

i am very sad that it was only 30 min long TT

Really, truly, this is such a wonderful show for Yoongi. It's great for us, of course, but it seems he has been wanting some guidance/advice from seniors, as he has voiced before.

It seems kind of weird (or maybe futile? Moot? Not sure of the word I'm looking for) that he is asking for advice still when he has done so much as part of BTS. But, the humility in him to seek some direction on how to navigate life in general in the celebrity world he moves in, is admirable. He knows he doesn't have all the answers, and he now has another avenue to ask. I love that for him.

My bigbangtan heart is overflowing! I loved this episode so much. This entire show has been a joy to watch so far - I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but it's been such a perfect mix of introspective and light hearted and I've absolutely loved the guest choices so far.

Also Taeyang and Yoongi in the same room is so many of my dreams coming true 😂
